
Indeed, for a higher price than your average clinic, some practices will pamper you and your friends before you go in for the cut. This rebranding has given the entire operation a sort of "spa day" feel, allowing men to indulge in the name of more reliable contraception.

“It’s almost like a fraternity mentality, where one guy says they may do it,” urologist Ernest Sussman, of Las Vegas Vasectomy in Nevada, told the Journal. "All of a sudden [other men] have the energy or courage.”
By tailoring their advertising to male interests like sports, some clinics have seen exponential increases in business. One Indiana clinic broadcasted radio advertisements suggesting that men time their vasectomies with March Madness, so that they could watch basketball while they spent a couple days recovering.
"This a procedure that’s going to require them to be down for a couple of days, limited mobility, they’re going to probably be doing that anyway if they’re watching basketball all weekend, it just becomes an easy conversation to have with the other half,” the practice's Chief Operations Officer Charles Dotson told the Journal. He also told the paper that they did indeed see a spike in March business.
So, if you're looking for a reason to finally follow-through with this procedure, perhaps seek out an up-scale experience that you can convince your buddy to join you in.
