Aluminium futures gain 0.24 pc on spot demand

Aluminium prices were trading up by 0.24 per cent to Rs 122.75 per kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged positions, taking positive cues from spot market on pick up in demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in July traded higher by 30 paise, or 0.24 per cent, to Rs 122.75 per kg in a business turnover of 442 lots.


On similar lines, the metal for delivery in August was enquired higher by 15 paise, or 0.12 per cent, to Rs 123.60 per kg in 61 lots.

Analysts said, widening of positions by participants on the back of uptick in demand from consuming industries in the physical market, mainly influenced aluminium prices at futures trade.
