Edible and non-edible oils slip on lower demand

Groundnut and refined palmolein slipped further at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following lower demand from stockists and retailers.

Elsewhere, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial also fell following subdued demand from soaps and shippers industries.


While, linseed held stable in the absence of any large-scale buying.

In the edible segment, groundnut moved down by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 900 from last Saturday's close at Rs 910 and refined palmolein softened by Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 518 as against Rs 521 previously.

Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold dipped by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 4,640 as against Rs 4,665 and castoroil commercial edged down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 958 as compared to last weekend's level at Rs 963.

Linseed ended unaltered at Rs 780 per 10 kg.
