‘Telugus should feel it as their pride’

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has asked the officials to create awareness and see that all Telugu people should own Amaravati and feel it as a brand of their pride. The Chief Minister held a review meeting on ‘The impact of investments and future employment generation in Amaravati,’ on Sunday.

Disclosing the details, Media Advisor (Energy, I&I and CRDA) A. Chandrasekhara Reddy said that the Chief Minister felt that organising seminars and workshops in educational institutions would be immensely useful in eliciting the views of students on Amaravati.

Amaravati received reputation within two years and several developed countries like Japan, China, Switzerland, U.S.,U.K. and Singapore were looking forward to invest in the capital. Phase-I construction of Amaravati will be completed by March 2019. “It is a golden opportunity for national and international entrepreneurs to make huge investments in Amaravati,” the CM said.

Describing Amaravati - as ‘A Symbol of Pride’ and Polavaram as ‘A Symbol of Progress,’ Mr. Naidu emphasised the need for highlighting the significance of Amaravati. The Chief Minister directed the CRDA and Irrigation Department officials to work out a special strategy to carry out the message to each and every village and towns of Andhra Pradesh and Telugu NRIs, he said.

Water Resources Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao , Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana, Chief Secretary, Dinesh Kumar, Special CS to C.M Satish Chandra, Principal. Secretary to C.M. G. Sai Prasad, Amaravati Development Corporation (ADC) Chairperson Lakshmi Parthsarathi, Principal Secretary (Energy, I&I and CRDA) Ajay Jain, CRDA Commissioner Ch. Sridhar, Additional Commissioner Ram Manohar Rao and others were present.
