East Singhbhum dumped wheat incident, probe ordered

The East Singhbhum district administration constituted a three-member team consisting of marketing officers to probe into the incident of dumped wheat on Marine Drive, official sources said today.

The incident happened under the jurisdiction of Bistupur police station here, official sources said.


We have formed a three-member committee to probe after 300 sacks of rotten wheat were found here on Friday, said the Deputy Commissioner said.

The committee is likely to submit its finding in two days, he said.

The district supply officer, Bindeshwari Tatma said a FIR was lodged today against unknown persons in this regard.

He said that wheat packed in jute and plastic sacks with inscription of of were found near Marine Drive.

We are looking into the matter, he said.
