Victims tortured, raped repeatedly

The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) has rescued two minor girls from a brothel on GB Road.

While one of the victims was forced to indulge in the flesh trade for two years, the other had been sold to the brothel four months ago by a Nepali woman.

Both the victims belong to Nepal.

NGO intervenes

On Friday, the first girl managed to escape from the brothel and met a person who alerted NGO Rescue Foundation.

The NGO then contacted the DCW, after which teams were sent to meet the girl. She then told the Commission about the second girl.

Teams from the DCW, the Delhi Police and the NGO were subsequently sent to rescue the other girl.

‘Held hostage’

Both the minors were held hostage in a room in Majnu ka Tilla before being brought to GB Road, the Commission said.

They were also allegedly tortured and raped repeatedly.
