Chennai's Chepauk stadium will turn yellow with CSK billboards all around on July 22. Chennai Super Kings will return to the Indian Premier League at the end of a two-year ban imposed by the Supreme Court. CSK’s return will be celebrated at the inaugural match of Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2017, a state-level T20 tournament at MA Chidambaram stadium on Saturday.

BJP president Amit Shah is in Rajasthan to strengthen the party at the booth-level as part of his 110—day nationwide tour programme. He will meet with state BJP office—bearers, core group, MPs, MLAs, morcha presidents, and district presidents. Shah will hold a press conference at the state BJP office on July 22. On Sunday, he will meet the state core committee, review programmes linked to Deendayal Upadhyay birth centenary celebrations and Karya Vistar Yojana.

In Telangana, the BJP's state unit will hold its executive meeting for two days in Warangal from July 22 to chalk out its future course of action. The TRS may have extended support to NDA on issues like note ban, GST and election of the president and the vice president, but the BJP says it would like to play the role of an effective opposition and emerge as an alternative to the ruling party. The BJP’s central leadership has identified Telangana as one of the states where it can substantially increase its strength.

India will play England in Sunday's summit clash in the ICC Women's World Cup. India defeated England by 35 runs in their opening match and the final will be a rematch to decide who lays their hands on the coveted World Cup trophy at Lord’s. Over 200 Indian footballers will be up for grabs when the Indian Super League (ISL) player draft is held here on Sunday with two new entrants — Jamshedpur FC and Bengaluru FC — vying for the finest players along with the remaining eight franchises. A minimum of 15 and maximum of 18 players in the squad will be allowed per team according to ISL regulations. There will be two U-21 players in the 18. The clubs were allowed to retain a maximum of two players from their 2016 squad, in addition to retaining upto three U—21 players to fill up the development player quota. The draft will witness a total 15 rounds. The sequence for selection of rounds for each club will be determined by a draw of lots on Saturday evening.
