Bayer CropScience today said it has received shareholders' nod for buyback of shares worth Rs 499.99 crore in cash.
In a BSE filing, the large-cap company informed that 10,20,408 shares, representing 2.89 per cent stake, will be bought at a price of Rs 4,900 a scrip in cash.
A resolution in this regard was approved by majority shareholders through the postal ballet process, it added.
Bayer CropScience has presence in seeds, crop protection and non-agri pest control.
Its scrip fell by 0.12 per cent to settle at Rs 4,610 apiece on BSE today.
