Four labourers, including a woman, were killed and about 36 others injured when a tractor- trolley fell into a ditch near Tamot under Obedullahganj police station of Raisen district today, police said.
Obedullahganj Sub Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) SK Marawi said the deceased were going for agriculture work in a farm at Mahuakhedi village from Sanjdi village when the accident took place.
"Three labourers died on the spot while another died on way to hospital. The injured persons were referred to Bhopal's Hamidia Hospital after primary medication at Obedullahganj hospital," he said.
The official said the deceased have been identified as Pinki Banjara (35), Sitaram Banjara (55), Nabbu Bhilala (50) and Ravi Kumar (30).
A case has been registered and further investigations are underway, Marawi added.
