French singer Barbara Weldens collapsed and died on Wednesday while performing onstage during a concert.
She was singing at the Festival Leo Ferre in a church in the village of Goudron in the southwest region of Lot, France.
According to a French daily newspaper, the cause of her death remains unknown and is speculated to be electrocution, as she performed barefoot, or cardiac arrest. An investigation has been opened and an autopsy will be performed, reports E! Online.
Weldens grew up in circuses, learning juggling, acrobatics, and trapeze with her parents, and was also a poet, according to her website.
Her first album was released this year and she had recently won a young talent award.
