The CID arrested an engineering student from East Midnapore district for allegedly uploading "objectionable" photographs of her girlfriend on a porn site, a senior officer said today.
A team of CID officers and East Midnapore district during a joint raid late last night arrested Animesh Boxi alias Ani Bokshi alias Ani Boxi (22), an engineering student from Mohadhol Radhaballabchwak under Panskura police station, a senior officer of the agency said.
"The youth hacked some private photographs of his lover from her mobile phone. Then he started threatening her with putting those photographs on social networking sites if she does not agree to accompany him for an outing and give him sexual favours," the officer said.
And when the girl disagreed to do so, the arrested uploaded a good number of her videos and photographs on a porn site with the girl and her father's name, he added.
During the raid the accused's mobile phone and laptop, which was used to upload the videos and the photographs, were recovered and seized, the IPS officer said.
