STF nabs two persons, seizes heroin

Sleuths of the Special Task Force, which has been set up to curb drug menace in Punjab, today nabbed two persons and allegedly recovered five kg of heroin from them.

A STF official said they had laid a cordon and a car was signalled to stop.


During the search of the vehicle, five kg heroin was recovered and two persons travelling in it were put under arrest.

The official said that during preliminary investigations, it has come to fore that both accused were NRIs.

"They were coming from side when their car was stopped and searched in Moti Nagar area here," he said, adding further investigations were under progress.
