CBI arrests Delhi municipal official for taking bribe

The has arrested a Municipal Corporation official on the charge of accepting Rs 10,000 in bribe for the grant of a licence for a meat shop, an official said on Thursday.

Veterinary Inspector Pradeep Kumar Dagar, posted at the south zone office of the civic body, was arrested on Wednesday while accepting the bribe from the complainant, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) spokesperson R.K. Gaur said.

The official said Dagar would be presented before a Special Judge at the Patiala House courts on Friday.
