Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for select destinations weakened by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following heavy position of trucks amid less cargo movements.
Transporters said besides comfortable position of trucks in the market, tight cargo movements pulled down a few centres' freight rates.
Delhi to Pune, Bengaluru and Chennai freight rates moved down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 27,000, Rs 60,000 and Rs 62,000.
However, other centres' freight rates from Delhi enquired at overnight levels on some support.
