Help desks to assist K'taka pilgrims visiting Sabarimala

The state government will open help and information centres at three places in Kerala to help and guide lakhs of pilgrims from Karnataka visiting Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple.

The centres will provide medical aid, information and look into the security of the pilgrims. The endowment department will manage the centres and a government order in this regard was issued recently. Grants to the tune of Rs 25 lakh have been earmarked for the purpose, official sources said.

The centres will come up at Pamba, Nilakkal and Kottayam and function between December and January. Pilgrims can approach the centres for help. Helplines will also be set up at the centres.
