The Opposition DMK on Thursday announced a human chain protest on July 27, demanding Presidential sanction for the bills passed in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, exempting it from NEET.

A DMK resolution, which was adopted at a party district secretaries’ meeting here, blamed the Centre for not responding to and respecting the state’s democracy by not sending the two bills to the President for approval.

The party also charged the Centre for playing a “dangerous” game with the future of the students, who were forced to take up the Test. Meanwhile, the Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker M Thambidurai-led AIADMK team on Thursday met Prime Minister in Delhi and submitted a memorandum seeking the exemption from NEET.
