The Department of Commerce and Management Studies (DCMS) celebrated 48th Indian Banks Nationalisation Day on Wednesday at the department.
In this connection, a seminar was organised on the theme “Indian Banking & Medium Small Micro Enterprise Development”. The seminar was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor G. Nageswara Rao and attended by Prof. K. Gayathri Devi, Principal College of Arts and Commerce, Syamal Ghosh Ray, GM, Andhra Bank, Ajoy Kumar Pandit, DGM, SBI attended.
Addressing the gathering Prof. G. Nageswara Rao said there was a sea change in the mindset of the bankers before and after the nationalisation of banks. Today, banking sector needs to cater to financial needs of MSME sector as it is contributing a lot to the economic development of the country.
