The police have opposed the anticipatory bail petition filed by N R Santhosh, a suspect in the kidnap attempt of BJP leader K S Eshwarappa’s assistant Vinay Bidre in Mahadevapura.
The police team filed its objection at a local sessions court when the bail plea came up for hearing on Wednesday, police sources said.
On Saturday midnight, the police visited BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa's house looking for Santhosh, who is on the run, but could not find him. The police have been looking for Santhosh in connection with a complaint of kidnap attempt registered by Eshwarappa's assistant Bidre with the Mahalakshmi Layout police in May this year.
