Five members of Mirchi gang, named so for their penchant for using chilli powder while committing crimes, have been arrested here, the police said on Tuesday.

The Kavinagar police arrested the accused from Laal Kuan based on a tip-off. A car, four two-wheelers, two country-made pistols, two knives, four live cartridges and ₹15,000 were recovered from their possession.
