Three persons have been arrested for alleged involvement in a case of dacoity at Pure Tomar village in Amethi district, police said today.
The accused were held near Kasimpur area in Amethi by a team led by Jais SHO R P Shahi and sub inspector S K Pandey. They "confessed" to committing the crime on April 24, SP Balramachari told reporters today.
A country-made pistol, some live cartridges and two cellphones were recovered from them, he said.
The accused have been booked under relevant sections of the IPC and the Arms Act, the SP said.
