Civilian injured in alleged army firing dies

A 60-year-old civilian, injured in alleged army firing in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district on Monday, succumbed to his injuries in a hospital here on Tuesday, police said.

Abdul Ahmad Ganai of Hassanpora village in Anantnag was admitted to the Sher-e-Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura after being injured in Bijbehara town after troops fired in retaliation when militants fired at their passing vehicle.
