After battling for life for over four days, a six-year-old girl died in the early hours on Tuesday.
A plastic pot filled with hot water had fallen on her at her residence in Boorabai Nagar in Brahmapur locality in Kalaburagi.
The deceased was identified as Amruta S. Bhave. The incident took place on July 14 when she was sleeping on the floor and the hot water from the plastic pot spilled on her. Amruta sustained burns and was admitted to district hospital and later shifted to a private hospital in the city, where she succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday.
A case has been registered in Raghavendra Nagar police station.
