NCLT Ahmedabad bench adjourns Essar Steel hearing till July 24

Company seeks time to prepare objections, given until July 22 to do so

The Bench of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) on Tuesday adjourned the hearing of the insolvency against to Monday (July 24), while directing the company to file its objections by Saturday.

During the hearing on Tuesday, applicants (SBI) and (SCB) raised objections to Essar Steel’s plea for extension on the grounds that the defaulter company had enough time for preparing objections during a fortnight-long hearing in the Gujarat High Court, which ended on Monday (July 17). The high court had disposed of Essar Steel’s plea to halt against it.
