Ludhiana-based gangster's aide arrested by Delhi Police

Police has arrested a man, allegedly associated with a Ludhiana-based gangster and wanted in several criminal cases in Punjab, it said today.

Sandeep Jassal (26) was arrested on July 13 from near the Dwarka Sector 14 metro station here, said Madhur Verma, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), adding that the accused was involved in a number of criminal cases, ranging from extortion to rioting, in Punjab.

The police here have informed their counterparts in of Jassal's arrest.

"We have informed the police in of Jassal's arrest and an order for his transit remand has been obtained from a court," said the DCP.
