BJP leader Shobha Karandlaje on Monday urged Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to order a probe into what she called “alleged trafficking” of 200 Muslim boys, whom the police had detained for a few hours at Cantonment railway station here recently.

In a letter to Singh, the BJP lawmaker said there was a strong suspicion that these boys were from Bangladesh and were being trafficked for ideological indoctrination. “There is something more than what meets the eye in, what could be described as fishy tale.

It looks like that the children have been taken to Kerala in batches to avoid detection to be trafficked to Gulf countries where young boys are used in the camel race (sic),” she stated.
