Rana Pratap and B Mahesh, both PSIs and posted in Khammam district, allegedly threatened the owner of a footwear shop in Khammam town with dire consequences by brandishing a revolver, said Assistant Commissioner of Police P V Ganesh.

A case for trespass, causing injury and threatening under relevant sections was registered against the two, the ACP said. No arrest has been made.

"Three days ago, the complainant had not allowed one of them to enter his shop because his shoes were covered in mud," the ACP said, adding that further probe was on.
