After the cyber crime cell of Mumbai Police has registered an FIR against the comedy group All India Bakchod (AIB) for posting a photograph of Prime Minister Narendra Modi by using a Snapchat dog filter, a lot of people took to Twitter to support the comedy group and protested the defamation case.
Soon, #DogFilter challenge started trending on Twitter.
People started posting photos of themselves with the dog filter on Snapchat, showing that it's really not offensive or as the Mumbai police would like to call it "lascivious".
Joining the brigade, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor posted a photo last night of himself, with the dog filter. "Attn all trolls: I took the #DogFilter challenge!" he wrote.

The idea seems to have come from Vijay Nair, CEO of OML.
Nair tweeted, "Any politician who would voluntarily upload their pic with a dog filter right now gets my vote."

So he posted a picture of himself with the dog filter on Instagram.
