A MBBS student of Lady Hardinge medical college and an 18-year-old man were found hanging inside a hotel room in southwest Delhi's Dwarka this evening, the police said.
The 19-year-old woman and the man had checked into the hotel room yesterday which they had booked online, they said.
They were supposed to check out today around 12.30 pm but they did not come out of the room at the scheduled time, the police said.
The hotel staff went to check on them around 3 pm and despite repeated knocks, they did not open the door, police officials said.
The hotel management then informed the police who broke open the door and found the man and the woman hanging from the same ceiling fan with bed sheets.
The man had left his home in Janakpuri yesterday after informing his family that he is going for his coaching classes. His father owns a departmental store, the police said.
The woman's father works with a paramilitary force as an operator and her family stays in Rohini, they said.
She was a first year student of MBBS at the Lady Hardinge Medical College and had come to the hotel from her college hostel, the officials said.
No suicide note has been found so far, the police added.
