CM gives away HP Environment Leadership Awards

Chief Minister Virbhadra today gave the HP Environment Leadership Awards to acknowledge the commendable job done by institutions and individuals to protect the state's flora, fauna and environment.

He awarded SATHI, an NGO, for best initiatives in rural development. The organisation has achieved this through people-centric sustainable action and ensuring an overall self-among women and the downtrodden, an official release said.


Besides drinking water management, its cost-effective and eco-friendly interventions covers 6,025 families in 52 villages.

The Chitkara University was awarded for recycling waste paper into sheets, folders, envelops and carry bags and water by dual plumbing, the release said.

Hotel Wildflower Hall was awarded for installing an organic waste converting system, it said.
