Four persons were arrested today while they were allegedly trying to loot trucks near Mishrauli Road here, the police said.
SP Amethi Punam said that the accused fired on the police team when they were surrounded. They are all residents of Barabanki district, the officer said.
Four country made pistols, several cartridges and cell phones was recovered from them.
They have confessed to their crime and have been sent to jail, the SP said.
