Three of a family killed in Chhattisgarh

A couple and their minor son were killed by unidentified persons in a village of Chhattisgarh's Dhamtari district, police said today.

The bodies of Sinha (38), his wife (32) and son Mahesh (10) were found at their house in Telinsatti village under Arjuni police station limits this morning, Dhamtari Superintendent of Police told PTI.


The couple's another son Trilok (13) was found seriously injured at the spot, he said.

When Mahendra's brother who lives in the neighbourhood informed local police about the incident, their team rushed to the spot, he said.

The bodies were sent for the postmortem while the injured was admitted in a local hospital, he said.

Preliminary investigation reveals that the victims were attacked by hammer. The injured, who is in serious condition, was yet be questioned, he said.

A case has been registered against the unidentified accused, the SP said adding a probe was on.
