CM releases logos of World Telugu Conference, Telangana Sahitya Academy

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao formally launched the logos of the first Telangana World Telugu Conference and Telangana Sahitya Academy at Pragati Bhavan here on Tuesday.

Noted painter and sculptor M.V. Ramana Reddy who hails from Siddipet designed World Telugu Conference’s logo while well-known artist from Cheriyal designed the logo for Sahitya Academy.

Sahitya Academy logo has a swan drawn in filigree style in the centre and a pen’s nib forms the beak of the Swan which itself is drawn as floating on the pages of a book. On the top half of the logo, Telangana State map formed the backdrop and a full grown tree in the front depicting literature spreading its branches wide.

World Telugu Conference logo has the famous Kakatiya Thoranam (arch) and Telangana State in the middle with two giant elephants, symbols of Kakatiya dynastry under the ‘Nakasi’ style. On the top of the log is the State bird ‘Pala Pitta’ (Indian Roller) and the logo has inscriptions of ‘Mana Telanganamu, Telugu Maaganamu’.

Advisor to Government K.V.Ramanachary, Sahitya Academy Chairman Nandini Sidha Reddy, Official Language Commission Chairman Devulapalli Prabhakar Rao , Grandhalaya Samthas Chairman Ayachitam Sridhar, Secretary, Cultural Affairs, B.Venkatesham and other officials were present.
