The Russian Embassy in a statement termed the Monday night terror attack in which seven pilgrims were killed a "terrible crime against humanity, which dramatically shows that international terrorists do not respect any faith or religion, that they are ready to conduct barbaric acts to reach their outrageous aims".

Britain's Acting High Commissioner Alexander Evans condemned the attack and said his country stands resolutely with in the fight against terror.

Spain has also condemned the attack, with Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy saying "can count on Spain in the fight against terror".
