Udaan: Air Odisha, Air Deccan may operate on remote routes from September

Under government's ambitious air regional connectivity scheme RCS-Udan, 5 airlines were selected

The government's ambitious air regional connectivity scheme RCS-Udan is set to get a boost with two more -- and -- expected to start operations on remote routes.

According to a official, and are expected to start their operations by September-end.

In March 2017, five including Air Odisha, Air Deccan, SpicetJet, and were selected to operate a total of 128 routes connecting 65 destinations and 45 RCS airports under first phase of the scheme.

Currently, SpicetJet, and operate flights under RCS-Udan.
