Two people were mowed down by a tractor at Dyapasandra, coming under Malur police limits on Wednesday.
The police gave the names of the deceased as Birajeeni (30), a worker, and her three-year-old daughter Mithali.
The accident occurred when the mother and daughter, who hail from Odisha, were crossing the road. The tractor that was carrying bricks mowed them down. Malur police, who have registered a case, say the tractor was being driven in a rash and negligent manner. The driver is said to be absconding.
