Only vegetarian on domestic

more-in

Air India’s decision not to serve non-vegetarian food on its domestic flights may appear to be an act of austerity to tide over its unviable burden of debt burden. But this measure is like trying to remove a rock with a broom stick. The administration should identify the major issues and not try to pass each day with mere tinkering. A deeper reading into the issue suggests that the whole game seems to be to hasten the process of customers being discouraged to patronise the airline and look to private services so that disposing of the Maharajah at the earliest, at a throw away price, can materialise. The issue is more ideologically twinned than being a simple measure of austerity.
