2045 hrs IST: Roger Federer takes on Milos Raonic of Canada in the quarter-final. The Canadian had defeated the Swiss in the semi-final last year!

2035 hrs IST: We need a fifth set in Muller vs Cilic as well. A stunning comeback from Muller and he has won the fourth set 7-5 to make it two sets all in the quarter-final

2020 hrs IST: Sam Querrey has done it! His first Grand Slam semi-final as he beats defending champion Andy Murray 3-6 6-4 6-7 6-1 6-1. What a win for the American!

1733 hrs IST: Andy Murray and Sam Querrey are both out and warming up. The centre court roof is off and it doesn’t look like rains would play spoil sport today. Querrey had knocked out Novak Djokovic in Wimbledon 2016 and that was when the Serb was no. 1 on the ATP rankings.

1642 hrs IST: We had a new world no.1 in the women’s singles world rankings by the time the quarterfinals came to an end. Such a shift in the men’s rankings may not be on the cards today but it will be interesting to see if Andy Murray can hold on to a creaky hip once again. It was not one of his most convincing displays that allowed him to surpass Benoit Pairre. Giles Muller has been a force to reckon with this season and he showed that by sending Rafa Nadal packing in the Round of 16, today we get to see if that was his peak or otherwise.
