Bayliss insists Ali is a batsman who can bowl

England coach Trevor Bayliss believes that it is better for Moeen Ali, who came up with a match winning 10-wicket haul in the first Test at Lord’s against South Africa, if he is viewed as a batsman who can bowl a bit. Bayliss insists that this would help Ali, as going in as the second spinner eases the pressure on him.

Wenger eyeing Mbappe for Arsenal

Arsene Wenger revealed that Arsenal, who are on a pre-season tour to Australia, are interested in teenage striking sensation Kylian Mbappe, like most other European heavyweights.

Wenger also clarified that the club had no intentions of selling Alexis Sanchez and that he expects him to honour his contract and possibly sign an extension.

Muller magic on manic Monday

Manic Monday saw the likes of Roger Federer, Andy Murray, Venus Williams and Garbine Muguruza progress to the quarter-finals of the Wimbledon.

If Muguruza’s win against world no. 1 Angelique Kerber was the stand-out game in the women’s section, the men’s section witnessed an epic battle between Gilles Muller and Rafael Nadal.

In a five-set encounter that stretched close to five hours, Muller emerged victorious, pocketing the fifth set 15-13.
