Dakshina Kannada Superintendent of Police among six officers transferred

The State government on Wednesday transferred the Superintendent of Police of Dakshina Kannada, Bhushan G. Borase in the midst of a raging controversy around district in-charge Minister B. Ramanath Rai reportedly instructing the police officer to arrest RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat.

Mr. Borase, who was caught up in the controversy after a video of the Minister reportedly instructing him went viral, has now been posted as the Deputy Commissioner (Administration), Bengaluru. He will be replaced by C.H. Sudheer Kumar Reddy, who was holding the post of Superintendent of Police of Mandya district.

Other transfers effected by the government are of G. Radhika, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), Belagavi, who will take charge as Superintendent of Police of Mandya district; Nisha James, Superintendent of Police, Intelligence, who has been posted as Superintendent of Police of Raichur district; Seema Anil Lathkar, Superintendent of Police, Lokayukta, who will replace Ms. Radhika as DCP (Law and Order) in Belagavi; and Chethan Singh Rathor, Superintendent of Police of Raichur district, who has been posted as DCP North, Bengaluru.
