16,668 units of sheep for Nalgonda

“Caste-based vocations if given financial assistance can lead to a sound village economy,” said Minister for Power and SC Development G.Jagadeesh Reddy at the sheep distribution programme.

The minister received a traditional welcome by the Yadavas at the inauguration of the sheep distribution programme. Speaking at Utkoor village in Nagarjun Sagar constituency, he said the government had set its focus on agriculture and was keen on addressing all sections of the society.

He interacted with the beneficiaries and asked the families to take good care of the sheep units. He said all assistance will be provided to the communities.

For the current year a total of 16,668 units of sheep would be distributed and 16,563 units were planned for the next year. As part of the scheme, the beneficiary would pay a only quarter of the sum and the rest 75 % of the share would be paid by the govt. Unified Nalgonda received 64000 applications.

Member of Parliament Gutta Sukhender Reddy and District Collector Gaurav Uppal took part in the programme.
