National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has invited applications from eligible and interested Indian citizens for the post of manager in grade B in the Rural Development Banking Service (RDBS). According to an official notification, candidates can apply only online on NABARD website www.nabard.org between June 16, 2017 to July 7, 2017.

Reservation for PWD-OC candidate will be applied horizontally within the overall vacancies earmarked for various categories viz., UR, SC, ST and OBC.
A candidate can apply for RDBS manager under only one option. That means candidate applying for manager general cannot apply for manager agriculture and vice a versa. In case of applications for both the posts, the last application submitted will be considered valid and fee against the other application will be forfeited.
Emoluments and service conditions
Selected candidates will draw a starting basic pay of Rs. 35150 per month as
applicable to officers in grade B. They will be eligible for Dearness Allowance, Local Compensatory Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and Grade Allowance as per rules in force from time to time. At present, initial monthly gross emolument is approximately Rs. 66,864 per month.
All candidates selected for appointment by the Bank are liable to be posted and transferred anywhere in India.
Eligibility criteria
Before applying, candidates should read all the instructions carefully and ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria for the post. On the basis of the information furnished in the online application, the eligibility of the candidates will be verified at the stage of interview/joining.
Candidates applying for manager –general need to have bachelor’s degree in any subject from any recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks (SC/ST/PWD applicants 55%) in aggregate or post graduate degree with a minimum of 55% marks (SC/ST/PWD applicants 50%) in aggregate from a recognized university as on June 1, 2017.
For manager agriculture post, interested candidate should be graduate in agriculture with 60% marks (SC/ST applicants 55%) in aggregate or post graduate in agriculture with a minimum of 55% marks (SC/ST applicants 50%) in aggregate or its equivalent grade from a recognized university.
All educational qualifications should have been obtained from Universities /Institutions incorporated by an Act of Central or State legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section – 3 of UGC Act 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification
The candidate must have minimum 21 years and maximum 35 years of age as on June 1, 2017 to be eligible for the posts. He/she should be born not earlier than June 2, 1982 and not later than June 1, 1996. Upper age limit may be relaxed by three years in case of eligible OBC applicants, and five years in case of applicants belonging to SC/ST, ex-servicemen, emergency commissioned officers/short service commissioned officers, candidates domiciled to Kashmir division of the state of Jammu and Kashmir during the period January 1, 1980 to December 31, 1989 and children/family members of victims who died in the 1984 riots.
Maximum age relaxation permissible for PWD (General) candidates is 10 years, for PWD (OBC) is 13 years and for PWD (SC/ST) applicants is 15 years.
PWD candidates applying against unreserved posts will not be eligible for relaxation in percentage in educational qualification. They may, however, be eligible for relaxation in Age and Fee.

Selection procedure
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in three phases: preliminary online exam, a main exam and an interview round. The preliminary exam is a qualifier exam and the marks will not be included in the final score. It will be divided into three parts, 100 marks each. The candidates will have 1.5 hours to attempt. It will include question on reasoning, English language, computer knowledge, general awareness, quantitative aptitude, economic and Social Issues (with focus on rural India), and agriculture and rural development (with focus on rural India).
In the phase 2, the online main exam will include Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and descriptive pattern questions. The exam too will be dived into three papers, each for 100 marks.
Applicants who have securing sufficiently high rank in merit in the phase 2 will be short-listed for interview. The interview will be for 40 marks.
