Nizamabad MP K. Kavitha said that the formation of new districts has helped the government welfare schemes and development programmes to reach the beneficiaries at a rapid pace.
She participated in various development related programmes in Sarangapur and Bheerpur mandals along with the Jagtial legislator T. Jeevan Reddy on Friday. The MP said that the formation of the new Jagtial district has helped it emerge as a role model in the State through excellence showed in all sectors. She said that the district topped the State in SSC exams with 97.35 per cent results. It also procured one crore bags of paddy from the farmers which was highest in the State, she added.
Farmers’ welfare
She said that the government was taking all possible measures for the welfare of the farming community and announced distribution of ₹ 8,000 per annum per acre for cultivation adding that the government would provide 24 hour power supply to the farmers as well .
On this occasion, she participated in Badi Baata programme along with students. Earlier, the MP and MLA laid foundation stone for the construction of double bedroom houses at a cost of₹347.40 crore in Raikal mandal. She announced to start government degree college from the current academic year in Raikal mandal and promised to sanction a government residential school in the mandal.
She also distributed land documents settled under Zameen bandi scheme by the district administration. Collector A Sharath, and Joint Collector A Nagendra were present.
