SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly witnessed noisy scenes today with opposition protesting against death of civilians in security force firing in the Valley.
As soon as the House assembled on the opening day of special session called to debate on Goods and Services Taxes (GST), members from main opposition National Conference (NC) and Congress were on their feet raising the issue of civilian deaths in security force firing.
Shouting slogans against the PDP-BJP coalition government, the opposition members refused to resume their seats despite repeated direction from Speaker Devinder Gupta.
However, later the House took the obituary reference after about 20 minutes. (AGENCIES)
