Mentha oil prices rose 0.86 per cent to Rs 935.70 per kg in futures market today on rise in demand from consuming industries at the spot market against restricted arrivals from producing belts.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in current month rose Rs 8, or 0.86 per cent, to Rs 935.70 per kg, clocking a business volume of 236 lots.
The oil for July month delivery traded higher by Rs 4.10, or 0.43 per cent, to Rs 944.20 per kg, with a trading volume of 36 lots.
Marketmen said raising of bets by speculators, driven by rising demand from consuming industries in the spot markets against restricted supplies from Chandausi, led to the rise in mentha oil prices in futures trade.
