HTC U 11 Smartphone Launched In India At Rs 51,900

HTC U 11 will be available on Amazon and offline channels in India from the last week of June in Silver and Black colours

Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer HTC on Friday (16 June, 2017) launched its high-end flagship smartphone HTC U11 in India at Rs 51,990. It will be available on Amazon.in and offline channels in India from the last week of June in Silver and Black colours. The smartphone can be pre-ordered on HTC e-store from Saturday (17 June) and customers availing the pre-order will receive a free HTC flip-cover worth Rs 1,999.

HTC U11 comes with a new squeeze technology HTC Edge Sense which lets users the ability to activate apps like camera, send texts and open emails by squeezing the sides of the smartphone.  HTC Edge Sense gives you the ability to activate advanced touch and use a “short squeeze” as well as a “squeeze and hold” for even more functionality at your fingertips

HTC U11 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with HTC Sense on top and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor (small in size and big on performance) coupled with 6GB of RAM. It has an internal storage of 128GB which is expandable up to 2TB through a MicroSD card in a hybrid dual SIM configuration.

It features a 5.5-inch Quad HD (2560x1440) Super LCD display with Corning Glass 5. It also has an IP67 rating and is dust, splash and is also water-resistant. The fingerprint sensor is embedded underneath the display.

The smartphone sports a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, BSI sensor, Optical Image Stabilisation, HTC UltraPixel with 1.4-micron pixel, 4K video recording and dual LED Flash. On the front is a 16-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture and BSI sensor. HTC claims that the smartphone also has the highest rated smartphone camera in the world with DxOMark 90 score.

The dual-SIM smartphone is backed by a 3000mAh battery which supports Quick Charge 3.0. The smartphone does not come with a 3.5-mm audio jack; audio is routed via the USB Type-C port, which is inspired by iPhone 7.

Connectivity options includes- 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, USB 3.1, GPS, A-GPS and GLONASS.

HTC U 11 will face competition with the recently launched Sony Xperia XZ Premium and Samsung Galaxy S8.
