The south-west monsoon reached Bihar today and rains lashed the eastern districts of Madhepura, Saharsa and Supaul.
Madhepura, Sirmari, Bakhtiyarpur and Gaunaha received four cm rain each, while Sabour, Murliganj, Parbatta, Triveniganj and Supaul places recorded three cm rain each, the met office bulletin said.
The weather office has forecast partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain over the next 24 to 48 hours.
Gaya remained the hottest place in Bihar with maximum temperature of 38.9 degree celsius followed by 36.8 degree celsius in Patna, 36.5 degree celsius in Bhagalpur and 34.5 degree celsius in Purnea, the bulletin added.
