Hard Rock Cafe entices foodies with burgers from across the world

How do you like your burger? With fresh ingredients or exotic and luxurious topping? Whatever may be your choice, there is one to choose from Hard Rock Café. The Cafe is hosting a World Burger Tour and naturally, burgers from across the world find a place in the menu.

It is a king-sized bite food enthusiasts and connoisseurs will relish, asserts Manikandan, the cafe’s general manager, who shares the Cafe has celebrated the Founder’s day.

The burger menu begins from Mexico for the vegetarians. Baked with polenta, beans and herbs, the Quesadilla burger has Enchilada sauce and has topping of nacho straws. The non-veg side has a beef burger which is stuffed with cream cheese, cheddar cheese and jalapeños. With sweet slaw, it is topped with full pork and has a good amount of barbecue sauce. The crunch comes from the crispy fried onions. There is one called The New Delhi and Tango Salsa burger from Argentina. Burgers from Nice in France, Las Vegas and the classic from Memphis from USA completes the burger menu.

Healthy and bigger

In its second year, the effort of the ‘burger tour’ is to make the burgers healthy and bigger, points out Hard Rock brand chef Cyrus Irani. “It started off with a bun and a hamburger patty, then people tried hamburger patty cheese combo and then hamburger patty cheese and bacon. After bacon came the caramelised onions,” he shares.

He informs the onus is to make it more fresh and add more crunchy elements in it. “Keeping it different and fresh versus fried patties is the focus. This has led to more varieties and experimentation in the vegetarian variety. We use polenta as a binder in vegetarian burgers. It is like a porridge and is mixed with beans,” he observes. The Mediterranean variety, roasted vegetables with goat cheese and grated beetroot, rice and herbs.

Cyrus informs burgers are an all-time favourite and are enjoyed every season. “Whether it is rain, shine or winter, we attract people who love to try them out.”

A fun competition titled ‘burger throne’ is another reason for burger lovers to drop in here. “The fastest record of eating the burger has been by a guy in Bengaluru. He ate a beef burger in 25 seconds!,” he smiles and adds, “ He removed the bread, separated the ingredients and ate it. Every bite was flushed down with water.”

The burger tour is on at Hard Rock till June end.
