HTC U11: the 'squeeze-able' phone launched in India at Rs 51,990

Taiwanese handset manufacturer, HTC launchied its 'squeeze-able' smartphone, the HTC U11, in India at a price of Rs 51,990. The company's latest flagship has been selling like hot cakes in its home market, outperforming the HTC 10 and One M9 smartphones, since its launch in the last week of May.

The HTC U11 is equipped with the company's trademark Edge Sense feature that allows user to access various functions or launch different apps by squeezing the device from the sides.

The company claims the app dashboard can be accessed by customized 'squeezes' .

The HTC U11 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with the company's HTC Sense skin on top. It has dual SIM capability, with both card slots capable of housing nano-SIM cards.

The display is 5.5-inch Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) Super LCD with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood is a 2.45GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. The device comes with 64GB built-in storage, which is expandable via microSD card to up to 2TB.

On the optical front, the HTC U11 sports a 12-megapixel camera with ultra-spread autofocus, BSI senson, OIS, f/1.7 aperture, dual-LED flash, slow-motion, and 4K video recording.

The camera features includes face detection, pro-mode with manual control, 32-second long exposure, RAW format support for high resolution imaging, HDR boost, panorama, and hyperlapse.

The front camera has a 16-megapixel BSI sensor, and supports full HD video recording. Despite its tactile sensitivity, the HTC flagship claims to be a rugged beast, having IP67 water and dust resistance certification.

It packs a 3000mAh battery which supports Quick Charge 3.0.
