UP Government on Saturday suspended IPS Himanshu Kumar over his tweets in which he targeted his seniors in the police department.
Himanshu Kumar had claimed in a tweet that there has been an onset of discrimination in the police system with the new government coming in.
He claimed that top security officials are under immense pressure from the new administration to suspend and send to reserve lines all security staff having the surname of a particular caste.

The tweets of officer Himanshu Kumar, attached with the director general of police’s (DGP) office in Lucknow, triggered a caste controversy.
Himanshu had tweeted on Saturday morning, "Truth alone triumphs."
