Help desks and a toll-free number — 1800-425-1717 — have been set up to provide assistance to the dealers on GST, and facilitate the migration process at the Commercial Taxes Department ahead of the Good and Services Tax (GST) regime being rolled out on July 1.
The Commercial Taxes Department said that the Puducherry Goods and Services Tax Bill, 2017 was unanimously passed in the Legislative Assembly on May 17 and the Lieutenant Governor accorded assent to the Bill on June 1.
The Puducherry Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 is to be notified in the Official Gazette of Puducherry. Relevant information regarding GST is published in the Department’s website - gst.puducherry.gov.in.
